Look back: Look back over Hebrews 10:1-4 and remember the law was only a shadow meant to teach and remind of sin, never able to perfect, but to point us to Christ for redemption.

Look ahead: This coming Sunday, we will be in Hebrews 10:5-10. Read the passage during the week with your family.

Ask: How are we sanctified?

Pray: Praise God for sanctifying his people through the offering of Jesus' body for sins.

Sing: Visit the blog for this week's music. You can also find our music playlists on Spotify.

FAMILY TALKING POINTS

CHRIST CONNECTION

This is the big idea of how this week’s Bible story points to Jesus.

  • Babies & Toddlers: God met with His people in the temple, but God wants to be with us now wherever we are. God loves us, and He sent Jesus to be with people and save them from their sin.
  • Younger Preschool: The temple was where God met with His people. God wants to be with us. Because God loves us, He sent Jesus to earth to be with people and save them from their sin.
  • Older Preschool: The temple was where God met with His people. God wants to be with us. As part of His plan to save people from sin, God sent Jesus to earth to be with people.
  • Kids: Solomon built the temple, but he knew that the fullness of God did not live there. Jesus is the fullness of God, and He came to dwell on earth (John 1:14). Only those who trust in Him will be forgiven of their sin and live with God forever.

BIG PICTURE QUESTION & ANSWER

This is an important biblical truth that your child will encounter each week of this unit.

  • Younger Preschool: What does God know? God knows everything.

  • Kids: What does God know? God knows everything about the past, present, and future.
