Look back:  Read back over 1 Samuel 11 and remember God’s Spirit empowering God’s king brings salvation for God’s people, changing their sorrow to rejoicing.

Look ahead: This coming Sunday, Pastor Michael will be preaching from 1 Samuel 12. Read the passage several times during the week with your family.

Ask: How did Samuel's personal character coincide with his ministry? What did Samuel remind the people of? What did Samuel promise the people based on their faithfulness (or lack thereof)?

Pray: Adoration: Praise God for his deliverance, grace, power, and justice. Confession: Confess any sin the passage brings to mind.  Thanksgiving: Give thanks for God for the truth that he does not forsake his people for his own name's sake.  Supplication: Pray for you and your family to walk in faithfulness and joyful obedience to the Lord.
