Look back:  Read back over Psalm 5 and remind yourself and your family that 1) the Lord hears the prayer of the righteous because of his exclusive and humble devotion to Yahweh alone and 2) the Lord hears the prayer of the righteous because on the righteous his favor rests.  What a humbling reminder that our righteousness is not our own, but comes to us only in and through Jesus.  Take the time to reiterate the gospel to yourself and to your family.
